Sports Betting

Cricket, IPL, football, kabaddi and more — pre-match, in-play and on the exchange.

The FairPlay sportsbook is built around the sports India actually watches. Cricket leads the way, but football, kabaddi, tennis and esports each carry a full pre-match and in-play book, and the exchange runs alongside them for anyone who would rather set their own price.

Sports and competitions

Pre-match markets open days before a fixture and remain live until the first ball, whistle or serve. In-play markets then run for as long as the event lasts.

  • Cricket — the IPL, international tours, T20 franchise leagues, and domestic first-class and ODI competitions.
  • Football — the Indian Super League, Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Champions League and the major international tournaments.
  • Kabaddi — coverage across the full season, with match, half and margin markets.
  • Tennis — all four Grand Slams along with the ATP and WTA tours, priced down to game and set level.
  • Basketball, esports and horse racing — the NBA and EuroLeague, the main CS and Dota circuits, and racing from Indian and international tracks.
  • Virtual sports — simulated fixtures every few minutes, for when nothing live is on.

Betting on cricket and the IPL

Cricket carries the deepest book on the site. Beyond the match winner, you will find:

  • Top batter and top bowler for either side
  • Total match runs, innings runs and individual team totals
  • Session and over lines, refreshed ball by ball
  • Next wicket to fall, method of dismissal and next-delivery markets
  • Toss result, powerplay totals and the highest opening partnership
  • Tournament outright winner, top run scorer and top wicket taker

Through the IPL the in-play book stays open across both innings, with prices reacting to every wicket and boundary.

The FairPlay exchange: back and lay

On the exchange you are matched against other players instead of a house price. That changes what a bet can do.

  • Back — the usual way round: you bet that something will happen.
  • Lay — you take the other side, betting that it will not happen. Your liability is what you would pay out if it does.
  • Set your own odds — ask for a price and wait for someone to match it, instead of taking what is offered.
  • Trade out — place an opposing bet later in the match to lock in a profit or cut a loss before the result is known.

Commission is charged on net winnings in a market rather than on turnover. The rate appears on the market before you confirm a bet.

New to laying? Begin with small stakes on a two-outcome market, where the liability is easy to picture, before moving on to markets with many possible results.

Live betting

In-play prices refresh continuously. Every live bet carries a short acceptance delay — a few seconds in which the price is re-checked — which protects the market from bets placed on information that has already moved on. If the price has shifted during that window, you are asked to confirm again rather than being matched at a stale number.

Cash out is available on most in-play markets. It settles the bet straight away at its current value, which will be less than the full return if your selection is winning, and more than nothing if it is losing.

Limits, settlement and rules

  • Maximum stake and maximum payout vary by sport and market, and both are shown on the bet slip.
  • Settlement follows the official result issued by the governing body. If a result is later amended, corrections are applied.
  • Abandoned, postponed or shortened matches are voided or settled under the sport-specific rules linked from each market.
  • Bets struck on a market that was priced in error may be voided; the betting rules set out the circumstances.

Betting questions

What is the difference between the sportsbook and the exchange?

The sportsbook offers a price set by FairPlay. The exchange matches you against other players, so you can ask for your own odds, lay an outcome and trade out of a position mid-match. Commission applies to exchange winnings, while sportsbook prices already include the margin.

Can I cancel a bet after placing it?

Matched bets cannot be cancelled. Unmatched exchange orders can be withdrawn at any point before someone takes the other side. Where cash out is offered, it is the practical way to leave a matched position early.

Why was my live bet not accepted?

Live bets pass through a short acceptance delay. If the price moves within it, the bet is returned to you for confirmation at the new odds rather than being matched at the old ones.

When do winnings appear in my balance?

As soon as the market settles, which is usually within minutes of the official result. Markets that rely on confirmed statistics can take longer.
